As a legal DBA registered in Oregon, Print Sherpa handles everything from ad design and onboarding to final printing and USPS EDDM mailing. We’re passionate about helping local businesses succeed, and our tactical, hands-on approach ensures that every campaign is executed flawlessly.
Our 9×12 cooperative marketing postcard is a professionally designed direct mail marketing tool created exclusively for local business owners (especially home service contractors). Each postcard is printed in a 9×12 format and features 16 equal ad spots (8 on the front and 8 on the back) that are distributed among businesses from a single industry—ensuring that you don’t compete with direct competitors on the same card.
We use the United States Postal Service’s Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) program combined with advanced, high-quality geographic and demographic data. Our research focuses on medium to high-income neighborhoods, so your ad reaches homeowners who are most likely to need your services. This targeted approach delivers exposure that far exceeds what most digital efforts can guarantee.
Each postcard has 16 available ad spots priced at $500 each. We strictly enforce a “one industry per postcard” rule to avoid direct competition. Spots are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fairness and a competitive advantage. If any advertiser is found to be misrepresenting their industry to secure a spot already taken by a competitor, our team will remove them without refund—unless it’s a genuine mistake, in which case we’ll work to get you on an available card immediately or offer a refund/credit.

- Step 4: After purchase, you will receive onboarding login to provide the artwork and information needed to complete your ad.
Currently, ad spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, if you’re interested in establishing a recurring presence or reserving multiple spots over time, please contact our support team. We can discuss options that suit your business goals and help secure long-term exposure.
The $500 fee covers your ad spot along with our streamlined design process (using our onboarding app where you can either upload your custom artwork or fill out a simple form to show us how you want your ad to look and we’ll build it), printing, and mailing services per our Print Sherpa Standard Operating Procedures. Please note that our design service is meant to be efficient and effective, not high-end custom graphic design with unlimited revisions.

While it involves additional fees and longer production times due to the bespoke nature of the design work, it delivers maximum flexibility and personalization.

Alternatively, you can reserve a spot in our next quarterly postcard campaign. This option allows you to participate at the standard co-op rate, securing your presence in the upcoming mailer without incurring additional customization costs.
Post-Purchase Ad Process
After purchasing an ad spot, you’ll receive login details for our onboarding portal to provide essential business information and creative materials. Here’s an overview of how the process works:

Your completed ad is placed alongside other advertisers on the postcard. The postcard is finalized once fully booked or at the submission deadline, after which it is printed and distributed.

Prefer to customize one of our proven layouts? Our template-based editor lets you select your preferred layout, enter your business info, upload logos or images, pick your brand colors, and specify details like offer text, font sizing, and layout preferences. You’ll see a live preview as you go, allowing you to make informed decisions and reduce unnecessary revisions.
Why We Use an Editor
Our editor with live preview makes it easy to tell us exactly what you want—without long back-and-forth emails. You can adjust text, colors, images, and layout within our master template, which is designed to handle nearly any clean, professional ad layout.
If your design needs go beyond what the editor allows, it likely falls into custom design. We may be able to help for an added fee, but for complex requests, working with a graphic designer might be the better route.
This system is built from experience: the more control and visibility you have upfront, the fewer back-and-forth revisions are needed. Whether you want something simple or highly customized, the onboarding app supports it—while keeping the process intuitive and efficient.
Note: While we provide a high level of customization and creative flexibility, our ad spot pricing does not include fully bespoke graphic design or unlimited revisions. We focus on clean, effective layouts that reflect your brand while preserving the cohesive, community-forward look of our postcard.
Once the campaign is finalized, all participants are notified, and the materials are printed, shipped, and fulfilled as per the timeline.
- Campaign Deadlines: We aim to fill each postcard by the deadline for the current month’s campaign.
- Printing & Mailing: Once the mailing date closes, printing and mailing usually occur within just a few days—typically under one week.
Timely submission is essential. If we don’t receive your completed onboarding form or artwork by the deadline, we may move your ad to the next campaign to avoid delays for others. In such cases, you will be notified, and depending on the situation, a credit may be applied or a refund issued in line with our service terms.
Our system is designed to keep things fair:
- Strict Industry Rule: Only one advertiser per industry is allowed on each postcard. This prevents any one industry from dominating a mailing and keeps competition healthy.
- Manual Review: Our team carefully reviews every card. If we find that an advertiser has misrepresented their business category to bypass the rule, we will remove the ad without a refund. If it’s a genuine mistake, we’ll work with you immediately to secure a spot on another card or process a refund/credit.
While our online platform shows real-time ad spot availability, the details of other advertisers remain confidential to protect their privacy. After each campaign, you’ll receive a postcard mailed to your provided address that includes only the advertiser identities for that mailing. This process keeps sensitive data secure while still fostering a sense of community among participants.
